The Difference is proudly a charity, and non-for-profit organisation registered with the ACNC (Australian Charities and Non-for-profits Commission). We’re here to make giving simple, transparent, and automated. We only support ‘lean’ charities that responsibly spend their dollar on projects, not on large overheads.

We look for the following in our social and charitable partners;

• 80c of each dollar $1 being used for projects

• Proportionately low overhead costs

• Impact measurement

• Addressing issues affecting the community

All charities affiliated with The Difference are subject to the below vetting standards;

1. Donation Report

   a. How a charity uses its funds donated from The Difference
   
   b. The Difference's Social Return on Investment Model

2. Audits

   a. The Difference holds the right to audit documents and financial records in relation to donations received from The Difference.

The Difference works for all transactions made on your linked account, whether that is online or at a physical location.

You can simply link up the credit card, debit card, or checking account of your choice.

You can set a monthly limit on your donations using The Difference app. The minimum monthly limit is $5.

No bank logins or other private banking information is held on file, all information is encrypted and coded.

Yes. You can set up email alerts to allow you to see what your donations have done for helping causes such as world hungers, poverty, or women's health at any time you want.

You can cancel your pledge at any time through The Difference App.
