Promoting Safety & Wellbeing This Children’s Week

Children’s Week is October 21- 29, with Children’s Day on Wednesday October 25th. Children’s Week is a national observance week to honour children and promote the safety and wellbeing of children around the world.

This Children’s Week we’re taking the time to highlight our partner charities that help children live happy, healthy lives and achieve their full potential. Keep reading below to hear about the amazing work our partner charities do!

Children’s Ground works with First Nations communities with the vision of uplifting indigenous children and providing them with the same opportunities of higher quality education, healthcare and economic prosperity in communities for the next generation of children. Children’s Ground works with government and local organisations to provide for indigenous peoples whether for better representation in parliament or for ways to hear indigenous voices, perspectives and culture through art, sport and history.

Youth Focus delivers frontline services and education programs which aim to reduce symptoms associated with suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm, and build long-term mental wellbeing to help young people reach their full potential. In addition to their core service of offering free face-to-face counselling, Youth Focus engage with communities to educate and build awareness about youth mental health issues and suicide prevention. As part of this engagement, they deliver education programs in schools and communities across Western Australia.

Every Daughter Matters works to to intercept vulnerable Nepali girls at risk of human trafficking and stop the abuse before it begins. Human trafficking is an awful trade that unfortunately prays on the innocence of children.

The Difference partners with these organisations to help drive support towards their worthy causes. This Children’s Week we aim to raise awareness about problems such as these that children and young people around the world are facing on a daily basis.

Wondering how you can help? Download or open The Difference app and select any of the above charities to donate to either by rounding up purchases or by making a one time/recurring donation.
